In 1948, Pelham became home to one of the first handgun companies when Adolph Weisbach created Weisbach Firearms Corporation in order to produce handguns for law enforcement agencies around the country. This company would go on to produce some of the most popular pistols ever made- including pistols designed by famous shooters like Bob Seagrave and Jack Bruell- all while manufacturing centerfire rifles as well as shotguns! In 1974, Pelham was inducted into the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) “ Hall of Fame” recognizing its long history with firearm enthusiasts across America. The NRA also granted Pelham city status in 1984 making it an official tourist destination for those who love guns! Today, there are more than 1,500 businesses operating within walking distance of Pelham’s downtown core that sell ammunition, firearms and other related items! It is clear that not only does Pelham have a rich history with firearm enthusiasts but also an active shooter population that loves nothing more than defending their homes from potential attackers!

In Pelham, Alabama, the first firearms were created in 1836. The town was founded on a small creek and its residents hunted bear, deer and other animals with shotguns. Rifle hunting began to become popular in the area around 1850, and handguns became more common. In 1873, two men from Pelham acquired a rifle from an army soldier and started shooting at local games. This led to the beginning of gun-running among Pelham's citizens. Soon enough, there were regular shootouts between rival gangs over control of arms dealers or other important resources in the town.
Pelham is a town in Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Birmingham metropolitan area. Pelham is located on US-431 at an elevation of 463 feet (146 m). The name "Pelham" comes from the Cherokee word pakhama meaning "plain," and ham means "village." The first settler in what became Pelham was George Washington who arrived in 1785. By 1810, there were 10 families living in Pelham. In 1819, John Chilton sold 3 lots to James Smeaton for $225 cash and goodsenumber 2 additional lots for $325 each. These donations would later become the nucleus of what became Pelham's community center and churches. In 1825, Isaac Newton sold 640 acres (248 ha) to Jourdan Ballou for $6,000 dollars which would be used as a plantation with 7 slaves but no town hall or schoolhouse built until 1830 when it was donated by General Andrew Jackson to help build New Orleans' new courthouse square. In 1829 Drury erected a log cabin on lot #2 which still stands today as home to the Mrs. Gertrude Chandler House Museum within walking distance of all village stores including Best Buy and Target! In that year also Mr.(or MRS.) Elisha Sprague began farming on lot #4 adjoining Mrs.(or MISS.) Sprague's farmstead east of present day Church Street just south of Cross Road Village Elementary School! After years of hard work by both families annual crops averaged over one ton per acre! This led to development around Church Street & Main Avenue where several businesses now stand including: A&W Root Beer Stand operated by Mrs.(or Miss.) Sprague from 1948-1981; First Baptist Church (later Evangelical Presbyterian), later Methodist; Subway - current location since 1978; Pelham Village Center - restaurant/bar/cafeteria opened in 1984; Original Grange Hall & Cemetery adjacent thereto closed 2011 after many years occupancy by local historical society (& other uses)

Pelham, Alabama is a town in Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,814 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1819 as a post office and community. It became a city in 1901. Pelham is named after General Andrew Jackson's birthplace, which lies just outside of the town limits. The first Europeans to visit what is now Pelham were French explorers from Acadia who landed on nearby Mobile Bay on July 4, 1699 and explored the area that would become Pelham. In 1724, John Filson discovered rich coal deposits near present-day Birmingham but no one developed them because of lack of transportation or interest. In 1819, Captain James Cook sailed past Mobile Bay and saw anOpening up before him lay an immense coal field with an estimated reserves of over 2 million tons (3 million metric tons). However development did not begin until 1853 when three men – Elijah Pritchard, William Ladd and George Stephenson – organized the First Selma & Montgomery Railroad Company to connect Birmingham withSelma via Mobile Bay. In 1861 Governor James Kenedy approved plans by Colonel Robert Eads for a new city called Montgomery on the north side ofMobile Bay due to its strategic location between Chattanooga and Atlanta; however this plan fell through due to objections from local landowners who wanted their land reverted back to them should Montgomery be built. A year later Eads resurrected his idea for Montgomery and again petitioned Kenedy for approval but this time he received backing from both President Abraham Lincoln and Vice President Hannibal Hamlin before being ratified by state legislatures on December 14th 1865 as Montgomery; although many residents continued to call PelHAM "Montgomery" until about 1920s when it officially became known as PelHAM . During World War II much activity took place in downtown Murfreesboro including manufacturing plants operated by Ford Motor Co., Wacoal Rubber Co., Bryant Radio Corporation (now part of AT&T), Briggs Manufacturing Company, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (later Houlston Tire) among others along with numerous military encampments providing housing for troops during World War II while also creating thousands of jobs in munitions production throughoutAlabamaand TennesseejustoutsideofPelHAM It was not until September 11th 2001 that large numbers of Americans came together within the walls of downtown Murfreesborotostand against terror
Pelham was founded in 1821 by the brothers Ebenezer and Enoch Pelham. The town was named after General Andrew Johnson, who was then U.S. President. The city's first post office was established in 1824. The town grew rapidly during the 1830s and 1840s, thanks to its natural resources such as coal, iron ore, and lumber. By 1860 Pelham had a population of over 3,000 people. In 1870 Pelham became an incorporated city with a mayor and a council of nine residents. By the end of the 19th century Pelham's economy had shifted from agriculture to manufacturing.During World War I, Pelham served as an airfield for American forces flying supplies into France. After the war, various businesses emerged in Pelham including a pharmaceutical company, two engineering firms, and a grocery store/cafeteria combo restaurant called "The Grapes". In the 1970s and 1980s there were several large-scale layoffs at local companies including those at Jiffy Lube and Gulf Freight Logistics
