In addition to its role as county seat for Butler County and home to numerous cultural attractions (such as Roberts City Museum which features exhibits on history of America’s northwest region), Northport is also known for its educational opportunities: The Community College of Butler University serves residents here while nearby Baldwin State University offers undergraduate degrees through various programs including business administration and information technology.
