Today, Piney Ridge Baptist Church continues to operate out of Mill Brook under its current name: First Presbyterian Church of Millbrook Incorporated (FPCM). According to 2000 US Census data*,Millbrook has a population densityof only 0 inhabitants per square mile*! This makes it one of America’s most rural towns*, with an average population size* less than that found* among all municipalities studied*! In fact*, according to 2006 US Census data*, there are only 10 families residing within millstream’s zip code! These statistics belie claims made by some local residents that “millstream is an up-and-coming community that has been growing rapidly since becoming center stage on the map due to new development on Highway 219 (just outside town)”*. While there may be some truth to this statement given recent growth patterns seen within millstream vicinity*****, overall *population growth rates have actually decreased over time***!***** *This decrease may be due largely to two factors: births dropping off after baby boomer retirements*****; however, other advancements such as better schools close by****** have also contributed.*
