Today’s Colt Firearms Company is one of the largest firearms manufacturer in North America with factories located throughout Mexico City; New Haven; Hartford; Baltimore; Miami Beach; Erie PA.; Springfield MA.; Loveland CO.; West Point NY.; Dallas TX.).

It has an intricate design that decides how well the firearm shoots and what type of ammunition it can use. The barrel must be able to withstand high temperatures (above 350 degrees Fahrenheit), as well as being constantly subjected toFMG (firearms manufacturing guidelines) forces which can cause it to deform or break down over time. The town of Homewood is located in Jefferson County, Alabama. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Birmingham–Hoover Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name "Homewood" is derived from a white man's nickname for the area - "Homewood." In 1898, Dr. George Washington Coleman built a home and farm in what is now known as Homewood on land he had purchased from the Creek Nation. In 1907, his son-in-law John H. Malone bought the farm and renamed it homestead after himself. In 1916, J.B. Malone married Mildred Muhlenberg and named their home after her mother - Mildred Home (1872-1955). A few years later they added an addition to their home that became known as the Mrs. Malone Annexe which still stands today! During World War II, many American soldiers were stationed in Homewood during its time as a prisoner of war camp called Camp Liberty located on FM 460 near present day Bryant Drive and Hoover Road. Many residents donated goods or services to support these troops including making food available to inmates and helping with laundry and other activities inside the camp while it functioned as a POW camp! In 1951, Milton Sperry opened his convenience store in what is now known as Technology Square off I-10 south of town square (now Parkview Boulevard). He quickly became wellknown throughout Birmingham for his delicious ice cream sandwiches served inside a small shop window which made him one of only a handful businesses in town that survived through all those years! Milton Sperry passed away in 1984 but his memory lives on through his daughter who currently owns & operates the business today!

The firstguns were simple muzzleloaders, developed in the 15th century. The next step was the musket, which was used in the French and Indian War of 1754-1763. The British eventually became the dominant power in North America and began to assault American towns with large cannons, called " cannonades ". In response, the Americans developed small arms such as pistols and rifles.
In 1830, the slaves of John Butler were moved from their plantation in what is now Homewood to a new one on White Sulphur Springs Creek. The community was named after the creek and the surrounding land. In 1836, the first school was built in Homewood. It served as a day-care for local children until it burned down in 1895. The first church was also built in 1836. It was replaced by a much larger building in 1865. The population of Homewood gradually grew due to its proximity to white settlers and its position near important transportation corridors. By 1850, there were over 100 residents living inHomewood.During the American Civil War, many slaves died or were taken into slavery because they worked on Confederate plantations. Some of these families decided to move back to Alabama after the war ended and started anew with their new slaves. Others decided to stay in Alabama and work for free people of color who resided within that state’s borders. By 1865, there were only about 10 residents remaining in Homewood when Union forces arrived to take it from Confederate hands
Homewood was formed in 1892 as a small town in theMobile County area of Alabama. In the early 1900s, Homewood began to grow rapidly and become a larger community. The population of Homewood grew to over 2,000 by 1920. By 1930, the population of Homewood had reached 5,000 people and it continued to grow until World War II when the community shrunk to its current size. After World War II, Homewood again experienced rapid growth and development; however, it has since declined in popularity and declined in economic stability.
