On December 6, 1868, Helena, Alabama became the first incorporated city in the state of Alabama. This strategic position allowed for bombardment purposes without risking exposure or casualties amongst troops garrisoned inside Fort Sumter itself! In addition to its strategic importance as a target spot for warships and bombers alike during World War II, another significant reason why Helena became so popular among shooters during that decade was due to changes taking place within our country itself - specifically per capita firearm ownership rates had begun to increase dramatically across all demographics since President Franklin D Roosevelt had signed into law increasing restrictions on handguns following nationwide riots in 1978 known as "The Tulsa Crisis." With more people becoming aware of how easy it would be to purchase firearms online or through licensed dealerships statewide (particularly after NRA lobbyist Grover Norquist successfully lobbied against these regulations), demand for targets increased significantly across all demographics once again throughout much of America by 1988 when Norma Jablonski became Miss Universe USA -hinging noticeably (or not so noticeably) onto gun target shooting culture nationally!!!
