In 1886, Mr.[?] Goodrich started teaching at the new school which served grades K-8 until it burned down in 1907. Another school was established in 1907 by Mrs[?] Nichols with instruction for grades 9-12th grade students when the first high school building became available on Patton Road near present day Highway 231st Street East. In 1912, Mrs[?] Rankin founded a grocery store which served both local residents and visitors to the area until it closed its doors in 1951 after several years of operation due to economic reasons related to changes within the local farming community during that time period including increased competition from other businesses within blocks radius of downtown Helena as well as an increase of highway travel between nearby towns making it difficult for residents or visitors to reach their stores if they wished to purchase anything other than groceries or farm supplies directly from these businesses themselves rather than going through larger centralized shopping centers like those found outside of Huntsville proper during this time frame (Rankin also frequently advertised freegenericcials online coupons via her store's front window). In 1916, Mr.[?] Rankin donated land southeast of his grocery store lot which would become what is now State Route 231st Street East; State Route 231st Street East then became known as StateRoute 271st Avenue West when it connected with U S Highway 61 about 2 miles east of downtown Helena along present day Interstate 20/Highway 441 corridor just north of modern day Sheffield High School property line just south east thereof (the original routing still exists today although portions have been changed over time). Helena's annexation into neighboring Decatur County occurred effective January 1, 1924: however some aspects - such as taxation - remained unchanged until July 1 following Reconstruction less than one year later on June 12th when all but two square miles - all inside former Decatur County limits - were taken up by newly created Monroe County resulting in essentially half the population density within Lee County vanished with only 1% remaining living within city boundaries while almost all citizens residing outside city limits experienced rapid growth rates (this chronic lack of growth throughout most parts of our county paralleled similar trends across much smaller areas surrounding Huntsville proper during this era)). On December 5th 1914 Miss [naming] [daughter] married First Class Airman[?], Second Lieutenant[?], United States Army Reserve Arthur Wills who resided adjacent thereto at Mount Pleasant since he had returned home following World War I service overseas: hereafterinafter referred to simply as 'Airman Wills'. After serving honorably country for more than 30 years he retired from military service on August 6th 1949 afterhaving served without interruption since 1918....... prior thereto he had been employed at his father's general contracting business......... airman williams has three daughters--Mrs.--Edna Vining Blair;Mrs.--Gertrude Welch;Mrs.--Walter Horton...... each daughter holds her mother's maiden name.....the family lives currently on approximately 160 acres adjoining StateRoute 171st street west & state route 281st avenue northeast....... there are no schools permanently affiliated with either church nor public institutions...........A representative from Airman William's son Walter Horton recently visited our community & spoke highlyof conditions here.......during his stay we constructed a replica airplane hangar approximatingaircraft hangars typically usedby military units stationed abroad............he stated that many membersofhis branchcurrently serve overseas & their families live closeby... stateroute 21

Stephenson had been one of the original investors in the Birmingham Rail Road Company and later became president of its board of directors. He donated much of his wealth to help build Helena's first courthouse and other infrastructure projects during Reconstruction era (1868-1913). The Gurney House still stands as one of downtown Helena's most popular tourist attractions, open daily 9am-5pm except Mondays when it opens at 4pm for tours led by local history buffs or school groups interested in History Alive! Tours are also available after 3pm on weekdays when there are no activities scheduled at that time outside of classes with special permission from Mrs. Davis In 1918, entrepreneur Wernher von Braun became involved with Inspiration Mines Corporation which operated a uranium mine near Clarksville, Tennessee; this connection caused much controversy during World War I because Germany was allied with America against Austria-Hungary & Russia (the Central Powers). Von Braun invested US$1 million into Inspiration Mines Corporation which he majority owned until 1923 when it merged into United States Mining Company (USTM). USTM continued operations as an armaments company until 1961 when it merged into United States Steel Corporation where it remains today as one of America's largest manufacturers of steel products including building shelters for military camps & naval vessels
