The company produced rifles, shotguns, handguns and machineguns over the years. On October 15, 1991, ExxonMobil merged with Mobil Corporation, creating the largest energy company in the world with assets across many industries including natural resources and transportation. The town is located at (31°50′14″N 86°04′38″W). According to the 2010 census, it has an area of , all of which is land. As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 1,724 people,[3] 633 households,[4] and 498 families residing in the town. The population density was 576.[5] There were 712 housing units at an average density of 256/km² (971/sq mi).[6] The racial makeup of the town was 98% white[7] and 2% black or African American.[8][9][10] Hispanic or Latinoof any race were 0% of total population

Gulf Shores is a town in Alabama, United States. The population was 9,844 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Birmingham metropolitan area. Gulf Shores is located on the Mobile and Bayou states of Alabama. The first permanent settler in Gulf Shores was James Auld who came to what is now Gulf Shores in 1824 from Ireland with his family. He built a log cabin on the bank of Mobile Bay. The Aulds were followed by other early settlers including Hugh Ballard, Isaac Stephenson, and Alexander McNutt who all arrived between 1830 and 1835. The first school in Gulf Shores was built on land donated by John Witherspoon in 1836. The school District #2 organized in 1840 and taught grades one through twelve using slave labor until it merged into district #1 in 1865 when teaching became free for all students within districts #2 and #1). In 1868, the first post office opened at Gulf Shore with three letters: GULF SHORE. During World War II, many jobs were created due to shipbuilding activity off of Mobile Bay which continued until 1946 when the war ended without any warships being built at that point in time (this was also during peacetime so there wasn’t wartime rationing). Today, much of this manufacturing has been replaced by services like software development or engineering work related to transportation infrastructure projects such as road construction or bridges etcetera. In 1954, when racial integration began going into effect throughout most America following Brown v Board of Education rulings from then-president Franklin D Roosevelt's New Deal coalition government, white residents chose not to integrate their schools but rather use busing instead which worked for a few years until integration moved beyond integrated public schools into private schools run by black parents under an agreement between White SchoolDistrict leaders and black mayors/councilors). After two years of buses running every day solely for white students outside of integrated public buildings enrolling more than half Negro students (average enrollment increased from 219 pupils per building to 434 pupils per building), Mayor George Cushing agreed to open city-owned buildings inside integrated public schools as well as give black students limited access only after high school graduation (the number attending high school rose from 44% of total enrollment to 67% over two years) while keeping whites out except during special occasions such as homecoming ceremonies where they could attend segregated functions inside integrated public buildings; this finally ended bus segregation within city limits effective December 15th 1957 although bus service continues today only between downtown Birmingham and various suburban neighborhoods outside city limits). This arrangement lasted until 1971 when Integration went back into effect statewide following passage of state constitutional amendment granting civil rights to African Americans - thus ending CitySchoolSeparation). Today housing opportunities are restricted mostly within white communities near downtown Birmingham while blacks continue living largely apart from each other except for occasional visits by either group during special occasions like homecomings or Christmas celebrations
