In the late 1940s or early 1950s, local photographer Bob Hager started selling photographic prints on his side street in Fairfield known as "The Boulevard". This business served as an important connection between locals and visiting professionals from all over town. People would stop by Bob's shop to buy prints or snapshots from various events or shoots that were happening in town at the time. Print sales helped support Hager's small business while also providing some much-needed revenue for him during difficult times during the post-war era. In 1955, photographer Harry Kapp opened his own photo studio located right next door to Bob Hager's shop on "The Boulevard". Kapp was one of the most successful photographers ever born in Alabama due to his ability to capture beautiful photos without any negative space whatsoever! His studio utilized large format Kodak cameras which allowed him create stunning images that still look amazing today! He is widely considered one ofAlabama's most famous photographers of all time!During this time period there were also several other notable entrepreneurs who opened their own businesses within short distances of each other inFairfield: Sam Smith at 1711 State Street; Elmer Brown at 915 Broadway; Jock Macdonald at 710 Highland Avenue; Vernon McGee at 406 Main Street; John Fenton Sr./Jr.'s Western Millinery & Jewels Incorporated at 411 Elmira Place.; John Fenton III (John Fenton Jr.) became well-known for starting JF Enterprises which manufactured high quality eyeglasses under license from Carl Zeiss AG (later Sony). It wasn't until after World War II when America began experiencing a dramatic increase in domestic film production that new opportunities arose for manufacturers of photographic equipment related solely to photography rather than just plain old printing/photography as had been done hitherto. At this point photofilm companies turned their attention towards developing new imaging technologies which included digital technology which would soon revolutionize film manufacture worldwide! Thus began America's love affair with digital technology! By 1960 ADouglas Webb had opened Webb Camera Corporation adjacent to Kapp Studio on "The Boulevard" – one ofthe first commercial entities specifically devotedto developing digital cameras! This company rapidlybecameoneofthelargestandmostsuccessfulcameramanufacturersinamericaduringthisperiod !

Fairfield is a small town in Spencer County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,726 at the 2010 census. It lies at an elevation of 571 feet (183 m). The community of Fairfield was founded in 1837 by John Eads and his wife, Sarah. The first post office was established in Fairfield on November 10, 1837. The community Name originated from the fact that all citizens were required to attend a fair open to the public every fall. A later name for the town was "Stroudsburg" after General Alfred Broughton who fought in the Mexican-American War and settled in Fairfield. An important early figure in Fairfield's history was Jno Hennessey who came to this area with his family during the late 1800s. He built one of the first steamboats on Mobile Bay and served as its captain for many years until his death in 1909. Other pioneers including Drury & O'Neill which operated a flour mill here before it became bankrupted around 1915) helped shape what is now Fairfield into a thriving town with its own Post Office, Library and several churches over time. Today's economy is based primarily on agriculture but there are also some businesses involved such as Alltech Solutions and Tyson Foods Corporation located nearby; both companies have made large expansions within Fairfield since opening their doors here more than 20 years ago! There are also numerous youth sports teams that compete throughout Alabama year-round; making it easy for residents to get involved with something besides just living their lives!

The history of Fairfield, Alabama starts with its founding in 1836. At the time, the area was part of the Creek Nation and was known as Big Spring Township. The first settlers were white men, who rafted overland from Georgia to start a new life in what is now Fairfield. They named their new township after their old home state of Alabama. By 1840, there were also a few African Americans living in the community, but they were not allowed to vote or own property. In 1852, Fairfield became a town and was given its current name – Fairfield County. The county seat was moved to Decatur in 1870 and then toFairfield again in 1903. The population of the county increased rapidly during Reconstruction; by 1900 it had reached 98 percent black. In 1965,Fairfield became an independent municipality within Alabama’s general government and has remained that way ever since. One of the most notable events associated with Fairfield’s history is the Battle of Little Rock on April 14th 1865 (known as “Bloody Sunday”). Confederate General Robert E Lee decided to attack Union forces stationed at Fort Sumter in South Carolina instead of surrendering his army due to concerns about possible further attacks on southern cities like Mobile and Montgomery. United States Marines led by Major John Pemberton raided into Confederate positions at Little Rock early on April 14th and fought for hours before withdrawing without achieving any major results other than causing great losses among Confederate forces which capitulated shortly afterwards without any significant damage done to either side
The town of Fairfield, Alabama was founded in 1819 by Ebenezer Maynard. It grew rapidly during the antebellum period, and by 1850 it had a population of over 1,000 people. The town was incorporated in 1871, and slowly declined during the decades that followed. However, in the 1940s it regained some of its former popularity as a farming community. In the early 21st century Fairfield experienced a revival as an agricultural center due to rising commodity prices and new investments.
