Eufaula, Alabama is home to the Outdoor Research Shooting Sports Institute and the Eufaula Pistol & Shotgun Museum. The shooting sports institute was established in 1955 by Adolph Ziegler and his son-in-law, Dr. John A. Cobb. The museum was founded in 1968 by Jack Crain and his wife, Hilda. The Outdoor Research Shooting Sports Institute has a collection of more than 1,500 firearms including pistols and shotguns from over 50 countries. The institute also has an indoor range that can accommodate up to 25 shooters. It is one of only a few shooting ranges in the United States that offers classes for beginners as well as experienced shooters. The Eufaula Pistol & Shotgun Museum has a collection of more than 100 pistols and shotguns from over 20 countries including handguns from America such as Colt revolvers, Remington rifles, Smith & Wesson revolvers, Ruger rifles etc., shotguns from around the world including English models such as Holland & Holland Trap Guns etc., Japanese Imperial period guns such as Kiowa Model 1899 Revolvers etc., American Indian guns such as Buffalo Rifle etc., European arms such as Winchester Repeating Arms Company's Model 1895 bolt action rifle etc., and African spears etc..

Eufaula is a town located in Jefferson County, Alabama. The population was 1,814 at the 2010 census. Eufaula is a small town with only a few blocks of commercial and residential buildings. It is home to the Eufaula Baptist Church and the Eufaula Cemetery. The first settler in what would become Eufaula was James Coates who arrived in 1819. In 1827, John Crain settled here and built the first log cabin in what would become Eufaula. William Pritchard came to live here in 1830 and began plowing the land that now makes up much of downtown Eufaula. By 1835, many settlers had moved into this area, including Jno. Boudinot who founded Boudinot's Mill on Main Street. In 1836, James Dickson bought land from Pritchard for $500 which he used as his farmhouse until 1840 when he sold it to Andrew Jackson for $1,000 cash. This property became known as "Dickson's Landing." In 1840-1841, Hance Waddy built a house on this site which served as the village hall for about ten years before being destroyed by fire in 1865 while still used as such by villagers developmentally challenged residents called "Waddy's House". After Waddy's House burned down an additional time (1868), james moses Ingram donated land to build a school on which local citizens erected two frame doors leading out of the old building (now known as First Avenue). From this point forward through most of its history Republican politics were dominant due to strong connections made between farmers and political leaders within the community; endorsements given during these times were usually indicative of good character or antebellum standing within that particular group or class milieu In 1887–88 Calvin Coolidge served as circuit judge for Jefferson County before becoming president; during his term here he purchased property east of present day Dickson Road from David Ritchie for $2,500 which he added to his holdings making it 3/4 mile wide along today’s courthouse square . While visitingAlabama during part of his presidency he stopped at Dickson’s Landing where he ordered goods brought overland from Georgia without traveling through Mobile Bayou – one source says “This purchase ushered in new days for commerce with Pike County” – giving rise to speculation that White men found something they had never seen before: an open water port on Mobile Bayou! Coolidge later demolished Waddy’s House brick by brick beginning construction upon what is now University Avenue – making him perhaps America’s first planned city Eufaula experienced significant growth following World War II when defense industries became prevalent in nearby Birmingham because automobiles could not be produced domestically . Many industry employees relocated into Eufaula after 1945 and continue living there until their retirements or relocation elsewhere starting around 1970-1972 In 1969-1970 UPN aired "The Partridge Family" episode "A New Generation" filmed at Blossom Field across from current day Walmart headquarters; some locals attribute this show being taped here because Walmart did not have any rights obtainable outside of Alabama due to Bryant–Denny Stadium being off limits ToU students protesting against tuition increase created "#WalmartProtest" hashtag on Twitter using #ETOHalfwayHouse
