By then, bullet technology had advanced so much that it was possible to create extremely accurate rounds that could hit their target at long distances without hitting anything else along the way. Eufaula is a town in Escambia County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Mobile–Amarillo–Montgomery metropolitan area. The first people to call Eufaula home were the Creeks who lived on what is now known as Bayou Eufaula. In 1821, General Andrew Jackson and his army marched through the area and discovered that there were no Indian trails leading to Mobile or Pensacola so he ordered Colonel James Fannin to build one. The creek that leads into Mobile Bay was named for this development. In 1823, General John Cushing built Fort Gaines on Bayou Eufaula which became headquarters for all of Alabama. In 1830, Judge William Hance gave land to Andrew Jackson for a public square in Eufaula which was renamedJackson Square after him. 2 years later, Troup County was formed from parts of Escambia and Mobile Counties and Eufaula became its county seat; it had been moved from Gainesville before that time. In 1840, Governor Claiborne Cullum appointed Wm Jethro Gibbs as the first sheriff ofMobile County; he served until 1845 when he resigned due to ill health. The courthouse in downtown Eufaula burned down on October 3rd 1865 during an attempt by Confederate forces to burn it down during their siege of Mobiletown (now called Cross Keys). The building still stands as a contributing property to the city limits of Mobile today. The post office at 9th St & US-431 closed on December 15th 1965 because mail service had ceased between Birmingham (then outside Montgomery) and Eufaula due to lack of money from Congress following the end of World War II; however, ZIP code 46360 still includes pieces of postal history from this time including some old postcards from Eufaula! With technological advances came television sets with antennas which allowed homes across America accessto programming they could not receive while living within commuting distance of large cities like New York City or Los Angeles por example; hence many businesses opened up around downtown Mobele Street such as banks, grocery stores etc., filling up what remained of Jackson Square after Judge Hance's donation had stopped being used for public purposes several years earlier

Eufaula was founded in 1872 by General John Coffee, who named it for the beautiful Eufaula River. The town quickly became a popular destination for farmers and other settlers looking for an easy commute to the larger cities in Alabama. The town's success led to growth and development, and by 1907, Eufaula had become a largely industrial center with a population of over 5,000. The population plummeted in the early 21st century as a result of economic decline and the effects of Hurricane Katrina. However, community spirit has revived the town and it is now experiencing significant growth again.
Eufaula is located in the U.S. state of Alabama, and it is the seat of Eufaula County. The community was founded in 1821 by General John C. Marshall and his family. It became a borough in 1872 and an incorporated city in 1903. In 1971, it became an unincorporated community again.
