They operated the camera shop until they retired in 1978 after more than 50 years of service to the community! Their legacy will live on as one of the most respected businesses in town! Today, John Gorman's grandson operates The Gorman Camera Shop next door! Since 1984, Dothan has been home to two other major retailers that have helped continueto support local businesses: JCPenney (1999) and Sears (2005).
