She crossed the ocean once more on board an American whaling ship bound for New Zealand but miscarried at sea while trying to cross the equator. Finally realizing that she couldn’t have another child without risking being overseas every other month or so for nine months out of the year, Daphne gave birth to her third child back at home – now known as Alice – in 1827. With three children underfoot, it seems like life could never be too difficult for Mrs Pumphrey; however things quickly began going wrong from there on out! In 1830, Mrs Pumphrey lost her job as teacher due toa new government policy designed to reduce poverty throughoutAlabamabyforcing teachers into teaching low-income students instead of their wealthier classmates/families. This meant that MrsPumphrey could no longer afford groceries for her children (or even heat) let alone send them off to school each day! With no income coming in Krishna had trouble payingfor his own clothes and shoes while AliceRan away with everything they stole from their local store! In fact, Alice became such an underworld figure aroundtownthat many people started callingher “The Girl Who Stole Everything” during this time period( something which still occurs today ). EventuallyMrsPumphrey metandmarriedLocal businessman James Ladd who helped support her through these tough times; however he died just two years later from natural causes.(another exampleoftheephemeral natureoflife).
