It functioned as a training ground for future law enforcement officers and served as a hangout for local criminals. The club also sold firearms. It closed down in 1959. The next gun magazine to open was the Armoury Firearms Supply Company which opened on July 1, 1909. It operated as a store that sold both handguns and rifles. The company later changed its name to Armoury Firearms Corporation and continued to operate until it folded in 1974. In 1945, Armoury Firearms Corporation donated their entire inventory of firearms to the Birmingham Gun Museum which is now located at the Midland Arsenal National Historic Site (NRA). The armoury’s collection of firearms includes over 100 different types of handguns including revolvers、firearms conversions、as well as muskets, swords and bayonets dating back to 1680 AD! In 1974, Armoury Firearms Corporation donated their entire inventory of rifles to the Birmingham Gun Museum which is now located at the Midland Arsenal National Historic Site (NRA). This donation included over 150 different types of rifles from all over America! In addition to its donations from armoury weapons corporation, Centrepoint also received donations from other businesses such as Hartsfield-Jackson Airport who donated two planes worth of weaponry; JB Hi-Fi who gave away 50guns; Asphalt Paving Co who gave away 100guns; ExxonMobile who contributed four trucks filled with weaponry; True Value Hardware who donated 10 shotguns; Home Depot who donated five handguns along with cases for each weapon; Coca ColaCola which contributed three truckloads of ammunition; among many others! These donations helped make Centrepoint one of the most pistol-friendly communities around!

Center Point is a city in Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. The population was 5,883 at the 2010 census. Center Point is part of the Birmingham–Hoover metropolitan area. It is located on the eastern edge of Birmingham and is bordered by Hoover to the south, Bloomfield to the east and north, and Decatur to the west. The first settlement in what became Center Point was made by Jacob Hinton in 1796. In 1824, John White established a small post office in Center Point. A store was built on Union Road near present-day Adams Street in 1827. By 1830, CenterPoint had a school and two stores open for business. In 1836, Elijah Hicks built a log cabin near what is now Hawkins Avenue on Centrepoint's southern border with Hoover Township. Hicks named his cabin "Centrepoint." One year later, he organized an Agricultural Society which grew into one of Alabama's leading grainproducing organizations In 1848 Cherokee slaveholder Thomas Gilmore set out from Tennessee with his slaves to explore new opportunities inAlabama after being freed from slavery there atammedy age 16 months old on October 12th of that year aboard CSS Sumter under Commander Robert Easley Jr.. His party reached Centrepoint about December 1st along parts of current US 31 & UK 82 where they landed around 2am January 3rd taking up temporary quarters among pioneer families who were already taxpaying residents there before leaving Georgia that day NOTE: This event took place over 100 years ago today so it should not be confused with today’s “center point” development name It has been said that Gilmore may have chosen CenterPoint because it offered access to many resources close at hand such as timber land available within miles and its location between both Chattahoochee River waterbodies – providing easy transportation links for goods reaching Mobile Bayou further downriver - as well as its potential trade advantages relative to other locations he explored including Montgomery/Birmingham areas All this information leads us back to early 1800s when center point was known as Three Forks Creek Settlement (Timberline) due mostly To Mr Salisbury who ran general store thereabouts until 1840 when store burned down next door @ 3920 Old Wright Mill Rd which led directly to center point plat #2 frm what we know now

Centers Point is a town in Bibb County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,859 at the 2000 census. Center Point is located on the Mobile River. The town was named for center point on a bend in the Mobile River where two small rivers meet. There were no white residents of Center Point until after the Civil War when Union troops moved into Bibb County to protect white settlers from Confederate forces. The first settler in Center Point was Capt. John Brougham who came with his family from Connecticut in 1814. He and his wife, Jane Cushing Brougham, built a log cabin on what is now called Main Street in 1816-17. Captain Brougham and his family are buried at Spring Hill Cemetery in Centerpoint Village. In 1830, Elijah Beal bought one hundred acres (40 hectares) southeast of Centerpoint Village and began to cultivate land which he sold to other citizens and soldiers during Reconstruction period; this led to the name "Beal's Landing" for that spot on the riverbank today where Beal's farm still stands today along with several other homes built by early settlers around it including those of Capts John Gadsden (1824-1911), James Hogg (1829-1893), Archibald Macdonald (1830-1902), Chas Waddell (1832-1913), Nathaniel Wade (1800-1871), Lewis Peele (1798-1885) and David Rice(1799 - 1860). After slavery ended throughout much of America following the American Civil War, many freedmen settled near or within sight of Centrepoint village; these people had no choice but to live as free men since they could not own property or vote under state law which continued to favor slaveowners over their former slaves. This situation changed gradually as more blacks started coming back into southern states after 1865; Centrepoint became one of these communities because it offered amenities such as water supply and schools which black families could not find elsewhere outside of cities or townships while whites increasingly chose to move away due to changing social mores and political developments within the Confederacy overall. As time went on Centrepoint developed infrastructure such as an opera house/theatre, grocery store/cafeteria etc.; some important businesses that have been owned by local residents include: First Baptist Church (#1 building still standing original structure south side entrance rebuilt 1978), School District #2A Central Elementary school (#4 building also still standing original structure east side 6th Street replacement completed 1984), Centerville Methodist Episcopal church (#3 building also still standing original structure north side 2nd Avenue addition finished 1985) & First Presbyterian church (#5 building also Still Standing original structure west side 7th Avenue replacement completed 1990). In 1995 First Baptist Church #1 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places coincided with its centenary year having been built circa 1895 when Bishop Tryon Meeks officiated at its dedication ceremony attended by Presidents William McKinley & Rutherford Hayes among others
