With this new ownership change came a new era for holster manufacturing in Calera as Colt began producing high quality handguns such as the 1911 pistol and revolver using American-made materials such as steel and Bakelite products In 1932, the Holmes family sold their interest in Colt Firearms Corporation to Brownells Incorporated who continued making handguns under that name until 1947 when they merged with National Defense Industries (NDI) to form Bernard Lunkenheimer & Co., Incorporated (BL&CO). BL&CO became known for their bolt action semi-auto pistols which enjoyed limited production until production was discontinued by Bernard Lunkenheimer at his death in 1966. From 1966 through 1978, Holster Products America Corporation (HPAC) manufactured all types of firearms including revolvers and pistols under contract with various sheriff departments throughout the United States

Calera is a town in Randolph County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Huntsville–Decatur metropolitan area. The first settler in Calera was David Crouse who arrived in 1821. The town was platted in 1827 by Elijah Neely and Wm. Henson. A post office was established in 1830, and the name changed to Calera in 1837 when postmaster James Dickey moved from Mobile to Calera on the Tallapoosa River. In 1846, John Flesch donated land for a cotton gin and mill which became known as Flesch & Sons Cotton Mill. In 1863, Confederate General Robert Ewell passed through Randolph County on his way to Montgomery to lead an attack against Union soldiers at Bull Run Bridge over the Potomac River. AfterUnion forces destroyed much of Ewell's army at that battle, he abandoned his march and returned home after taking refuge with General Beauregard at Harper's Ferry。 In 1865, firefighters fighting a fire near Calera burned down several homes before being put out by Federal troops under Brigadier General Nathan Bedford Forrest (). In 1912, Post Office Act No. 575 provided for mail service between Decatur and Huntsville; this service ended when Alabama joined the Confederacy (). According to 2000 US Census figures (which include Randolph County), there were 1,564 people residing inCalera Township with an average household size of 3-4 persons; 2% of all households were larger than 4 persons; and no single family unit made up more than 50% of all households). The town was founded by Isaac Shelby in 1827 as a small community on the edge of what is now downtown Birmingham. In 1831, he and his wife Fannin erected the first store in what is now Calera. By 1840, there were six stores and sixty-four residents. In 1845, John Sibley purchased land east of town and built the first black schoolhouse in Alabama. The First Baptist Church also opened in1845. A post office called Calera was established in 1847; it was moved to its present location southeast of town in 1860s. In 1865, Indian Removal began; about one hundred African Americans were taken from their homes and transported to Texas for resettlement on Creek Nation lands near Huntsville. Many of these people had been born within or close to Calera; some may have even grown up there with family members who had remained behind (although no evidence exists to support this claim). A few years later, most of these Africans were again returned home when new plantations were set up along Mobile River north of Birmingham and they could no longer be forced into labor on former Indian reservations where food prices were extremely high due to lack of fresh water resources. The early 20th century saw dramatic changes for Calera as well: agricultural production increased as did housing needs because many citizens relocated for jobs outside the town during World War I and II; however, after the war ended came more economic declines which led to unemployment among locals throughout much of the late 19th century through into the early 21st century until recent efforts by local officials have revived some aspects of traditional culture including music and dancehall performance art programs at various schools located within walking distance of both downtown businesses district and historical museum complex catering primarilyto older white women visitors while also hosting cultural events such as Hogmanay Parade etc.; all while still maintaining access to modern amenities like electricity/water supply which has slowly but surely become more common here than back home since birthedblack residents took ownership over almost everything starting with own block paving streets & building damsself several decades ago
