Their journey eventually led them to Atmore Creek where they established a campground. Shortly thereafter, they discovered oil wells here- which would later become one of the most important assets for Atmore's economy. Another important event occurred in 1845 when General Andrew Jackson became president of the United States (1846-1849). During this time period, many politicians and businesspeople relocated to Washington D C because of Jackson's controversial policies (such as slavery). One such individual was J P Morgan whose company sent employees away to work at various plants across America during this time period (including those at Fort Donelson in Tennessee). In 1865, another influential person attended AtMORE- Dr Richard Coke whom would go on serve as Mayor from 1889 until his death in 1922 . He helped develop water systems for both local residents and businesses within AtMORE; he also donated land for a school that would eventually become Central High School today! Throughout its history, At MORE has seen many changes- both positive AND negative! Its economic stability has been key to its continued growth over time; however, it has also faced some challenges including racism which has played an integral role inhas shaped many aspectsof community life today
