The Anniston Rifle Scope Company was founded in 1892 by Hiram Stevens and Alfred L. Smith. The company became a leading producer of rifle scopes. In 1951, the company merged with the Olin Corporation to form Olin-Olin Corporation. The company continued to produce rifle scopes until it ceased production in 1985. In that year, the scope division of Olin-Olin Corporation was sold to Bushnell Incorporated. Today, Bushnell makes rifles and shotguns with scope attachments, including many models made by Anniston Rifle Scope Company alumni such as Stevens and Smith optics products

Reflex Optics use mirrorshields located on either side of each objective lens (eyepiece) which helps reduce eye fatigue while hunting as well as providing better visibility when hunting at night or in low light conditions because it allows you to see what you’re looking at even if your eyes are tired from looking up at something large like an animal all day long! Anniston is a city in Clarke County, Alabama, United States. The population was 25,839 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Clarke County. Anniston has been the seat of government for both Clarke and Randolph Counties since 1821. It was founded by James Culp in 1819 as a small post office on the Gallatin River. In 1825, it became the capital of Randolph County after it was chosen as the site for that county's first courthouse. The original townsite included only two blocks of what are now downtown Anniston and one block east of present-day US 31/Alabama State Route 368/US 82. After Randolph County split in 1837, Anniston continued to be its capital until 1840 when its new county Seat moved to Huntsville. The city was originally built on land acquired from several Creek Indian nations through Treaty 7 (1806). As part of a effort by General Andrew Jackson to secure land grants from all Indian tribes west of Tennessee, Jackson agreed to cede most or all of Creek Nation east of Mobile Bay to Alabama in November 1807 under the terms known as Treaty 3 (1807). Under this treaty, Creek Nation ceded ground including present-day Anniston and surrendered all alcohol sales and other tribal rights within 10 miles of Mobile Bay. formal annexation followed on February 13, 1828 when Baldwin County joinedRandolph County; however,rawn map depiction shows only Alice City existing as part of Baldwin County at that time In 1830s many residents abandoned their villages near Spanish Fort due to river transportation problems caused by bad navigation hazards created by shoals and bars along Mobile River system - see also "Spanish Fort" below Anniston's history began with James Culp who established it as a small post office on the Gallatin River in an area where he had cleared land for farming purposes some years earlier It likely started out as just a simple stage stop for travelers between Muscle Shoals and Decatur due to its location close to navigable waterways . In early days there were no schools or hospitals so people often got sick here while travelling which led them later onto newer settlements such as Birmingham – also see below about this issue On March 21st 1865 during American Civil War Confederate forces attacked Union forces at Chickamauga Ridge resulting in over 20 deaths including six high ranking officers including Colonel James Longstreet who would become one half brother-in-law President Abraham Lincoln
