Alexander City, Alabama is a small town located in the south-central part of Alabama. The community was founded in 1871 and has since grown to become a popular tourist destination with its rich history and unique culture. In 1898, Alexander City became the center of the rifle manufacturing industry in Alabama. At this time, Alexander City was one of the most important towns in southern Alabama due to its location and production capabilities. In 1827, Alexander City became one of the first American settlements in what is now Southwest Alabama. The city grew rapidly during the late 1800s and early 1900s due to its strategic location on the Santa Fe Trail and its natural resources such as coal and timber.Alexander City experienced a period of prosperity from 1907 through 1916 when it became one of the largest cotton textile mills in America. However, after 1945 local industry slowly declined due to changes in technology and competition from larger manufacturers. In addition to pistol clothing requirements specific to handguns there also arose another type of firearm - revolvers - which required special attire specifically designed for use with these firearms. Pistol revolvers were typically chambered for rounds other than .38 Special (9mm), so manufacturers began producing special dress uniforms associated with these firearms that included jackets and pants that protected against moisture build-up on the skin, as well as gloves to prevent oils or sweat from coming into contact with the hands

Alexander City is a small town located in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,546 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Birmingham metropolitan area. The town was founded by General Alexander McGillivray and his wife, Nancy (née McCombs). The city started as a log cabin community on the banks of the Mobile River. In 1836, General McGillivray donated land to the town for school purposes. The first school in Alexander City was built on what is now Main Street. In 1840, cotton fields were developed in central Alexander City and original stores and homes were built there to service this new industry. By 1851, when Alexander City became a county seat under statehood, it had a population of 2,000 residents. In 1871-1872, Major General George Hines surveyed and laid out much of Tuscaloosa County south of present-day Alexander City on behalf of the Alabama Legislature. This area included most of what is now southern Tuscaloosa County including parts of today's Birmingham and its surrounding communities including Pinsonville and Occoquan Valley neighborhoods west of downtown Birmingham; current day Sparkman Estates eastward to Morningside Heights; present day Highland Park northward to Hoover Dam Road; alluvial plain betweenpresent-day Lithonia and Auburn Hills; as well as portions of Auburn Hills (northwest corner), Evergreen Township (southwest corner), Gadsden Township (east side), Uniontown Township (northwest corner) still lying within modern Tuscaloasa County boundaries today despite having been organized as separate counties numerous times during its history - more than any other community in Alabama! On February 12th 1861 through March 4th 1861 Confederate troops from Chattanooga passed through here en route from Memphis downriver to join Gen Robert Ewell at Selma opposite Montgomery before continuing their march upriver towards Mobile Bay where they would fall back across open water for shipment back home viasteamboats taking prisoners with them instead thereof!
