Albertville, Alabama is a small town located in Butler County, Alabama. The community was founded in 1871 by citizens of the nearby town of Tuskegee. In the early 1800s, Albertville was an important trading post and transportation point on the Mobile and Gulf Railroad. throughout its history, Albertville has been a center for agricultural production and served as a stop on the Reconstruction Era Trail that connected black American towns across America. Today, Albertville is a small community with few residents over the age of sixty-five. The majority of the population is made up of white elderly citizens who are often active in local government. The community's only businesses are three churches which operate as social services agencies for their congregations' constituents. The history of bullets in Albertville began with Civil War Times Illustrated bulletins sent to residents from Union General Benjamin Butler and his command staff during the war years 1861-1865. These bulletins contained news about military engagements, troop movements, and battle reports which were distributed to units stationed in nearby Birmingham and Mobile. After the war ended in 1865, many soldiers returned home and needed ammunition to rebuild their families back East. One result was that local farmers became very interested in acquiring new guns to protect themselves from Confederate snipers while they fruits or vegetables grew pursuant to their homespun agriculture methods unchanged by firearms use during wartime times In 1876, two men named John Ahern and James Haughton started manufacturing rifles at their home near what is now downtown Albertville. This business proved to be successful enough that they decided to open a factory specifically designed for producing pistols using cut off barrels (the precursor to modern handguns). By 1888, both Ahern & Haughton had become well known within rifle industry as producers of quality pistols utilizing this type of barrel design By 1903, when prohibitionist laws took effect statewide in Alabama, handgun manufacturers had begun marketing revolvers exclusively through mail order rather than selling directly to consumers . As pistol demand increased following World War I due largely to changes wrought by newly implemented gun control legislation tenets such as background check requirements (a part of National Firearms Act), Ahern & Haughton decided it would make more sense strategically market handguns under one umbrella - revolver production - since this would allow them greater accesses into distribution channels necessary for product sales growth This strategy worked well until 1933 when President Franklin D Roosevelt repealed Prohibition nationwide effective December 15th th . With all manner of legal loopholes still extant including “speakeasies” where liquor could still be bought openly , manufacturers found themselvesforced once again into direct sales against formidable competition coming out of Ohio wholesalers eager cash cow offers opportunities not available prior thereto Consequently Ahern & Haughton ceased operations within six months

Albertville is a town in Clarke County, Alabama, United States. The population was 914 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Clarke County. The first permanent settlement in what is now Albertville was made on July 3, 1801 when James Waddell and his family set up a cabin on an island in the Mobile River. In 1819, Andrew Pickens arrived with his wagon train from Tennessee and founded Pickens Station on land that he had bought from the Creek Indians. By 1830, there were several settlements within sight of each other in what is now Albertville. trader Isaac Goodloe established a post at present-day downtown Albertville in 1831; it was one of several early posts along the Mobile River valley where traders conducted trade with Native Americans and European settlers. Goodloe's store served as an important center for trade until after Indian Removal began in 1835. In 1840, Grady Tate came to Alabama from Georgia and founded Tate Station near modern day Tuscaloosa. After trading goods with Native American groups along themobile river valley for several years he built a large brick house near present day Tate Hall which became one of the most prominent buildings in town during its early years. In1870s citizens of nearby Decatur petitioned Congress to form Clarke County out of parts of three adjoining counties – Limestone (north), Coffee (south), and Clarke (west). However, no action was taken until 1880 when Congressman George Millington recommended that Alabama annex part of Limestone County because its location near Birmingham promised "a fertile soil for agricultural purposes." On December 1st 1880, Alabama annexed Limestone County making Albertville its new county seat and making it one of two original counties withinAlabama statehood (the other being Jefferson County). During Reconstruction period following World War II various businesses were established throughoutAlbertville including Gadsden Cotton Mills Inc., Hwy Dept Store #2A &B, Post Office/Bank #1A &B - incorporated on November 6th 1951 by J F Malone as Citizens Bank OfAlbertville Incorporated And continued as such until de incorporation on May 14th 1979 by Mrs Lillian Bunning Malone Withdrawn From Banking Businesses Mexican Merchants National Bank And Peoples Trust Company And reincorporation date April 2nd 1982 To Citizens First National Bank OfAlbuquerque New Mexico Corporation
