Gun targets were first brought to O'Fallon, Missouri in 1868 by Capt. W.H. Griggs of the United States Volunteers. The guns were used for target practice at the old Courthouse Annex. From 1889 until 1903, the Municipal Rifle and Pistol Club (MRPC) used a small rifle range adjacent to the city hall on east Market Street. In 1904, the MRPC moved its operations to land north of town on High Street between Third and Fourth Streets. Up until World War II, gun targets were operated out of three large sheds near the intersection of First and Second streets in downtown O'Fallon. In 1939, war restrictions caused most gun ranges in America to close down; however, NRA member Captured Gun Targets Incorporated continued operations out of their warehouse on Main Street in O'Fallon through 1945 with an additional shed located off North Union Avenue into 1946-47 when NRA membership was revoked due to World War II quotas being placed on GUNTARGETS manufacturing plants across America. After repeal of World War II quotas,Captured Gun Targets resumed operations from their new warehouse on North Union Avenue until they closed it permanently in 1951 due to increasing competition from imported targets made by other companies licensed by National Firearms Association (NFA). The last time capturedguntargets was operating was during 1955-1957 when production stopped at their original facility because automated gunfire testing had been instituted at that time which eliminated manual firing tests which had been conducted atcapturedguntargets facilities since 1906 when NFA became involved with THE GARBAGE MANUFACTURING COMPANY LIMITED - "the pioneer firm that manufactured firearms for law enforcement." Today there is only one remaining Captured Gun Targets location open for business - this is located on Oak Grove Road just outside Springfield MO within easy reach of major highways as well as various retail outlets throughout central Missouri including Carbondale MO., Mission Viejo CA., Belleville IL., Independence MO., Staunton VA., and more!

O'Fallon, Missouri is a small town located in the Ozarks of central Missouri. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. It lies about 20 miles (30 kilometers) east of Springfield and 50 miles (80 kilometers) west of Kansas City. O'Fallon is part of the Springfield-Jefferson County, MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first white people to settle in what is now O'Fallon were a party led by Captain George Rogers Clark on July 6, 1803. They built a cabin on the Scioto River and named it "Rogersville." By 1806, the area had been developed into a village with a courthouse, schoolhouse, and store. In 1812, Captain John Smith discovered and named the creek that flows through present-day O'Fallon after General James K. Polk while he was exploring for land in what is now Tennessee. The name "O'Fallon" was given to this creek by Nathaniel Peaher who owned some lands along its banks. In 1814, General Andrew Jackson's forces invaded Illinois during his campaign for president and destroyed several villages in that state including those near present-day Springfield. Jackson's troops stopped at what is now O'Fallon for dinner before continuing their journey northward. As they traveled downriver they came across an old Indian trail which they followed until they reached Springfield where they camped for the night before moving on the next day to destroy other villages northeast of that city as part of their raid called Prairie du Chien or Chicago Campaign. Present-day O’Fallon was one of these villages burned by General Richard Anderson when he raided that region in October 1816 during his campaigns against Native Americans called Pontotoc Expedition which resulted in more than 200 deaths among them including many women and children.. A post office was established at O’Fallon in November 1850; it remained open until 1959 when it became part of Hannibal Post Office District No.-2.. The community has experienced steady growth since its incorporation as a municipality in 1984; over time there have been additions to both housing stock and business interests due to its location within easy commuting distance from major metropolitan areas such as Kansas City, St Louis, Memphis etc..

O'Fallon became one of the most important cities in central Missouri during the 19th century because of its strategic location - it lay at the intersection of several Routes 66 and route 462, making it easy to trade with other parts of the state. It also had an important role as a center for manufacturing - goods such as flour, cheese, cloth and shoes were produced here until the late 20th century. As part of Central Missouri's growing industrial belt, O'Fallon experienced rapid growth during the last half of the 19th century. By 1900, its population had reached 1001 people and by 1910 it had reached 2200 people; however, its heyday ended around World War I because production stopped due to wartime restrictions on trade. Today, there are only a few residual businesses remaining in O'Fallon – some small farmers still sell eggs and vegetables from their homes while others provide janitorial services or home-based sales; nonetheless, it remains an important community withincentralMissouri
The town of O'Fallon, Missouri was founded in 1819 by Abram Collins and his wife Rachel. The small community grew quickly after the discovery of valuable coal seams in the area. In 1830, O'Fallon became a stop on the Underground Railroad. During the American Civil War, many citizens supported Confederate forces while others did not support the war effort. After the war, O'Fallon experienced an economic boom with increased logging and farming activity. In 1865, Union General Ulysses S. Grant landed at Cairo Bay and advanced towards Springfield, Missouri to besiege that city. However, General Grant's army was stopped just short of Springfield by Confederate General Robert E. Lee's army at Midway Ridge. As a result of this battle, O’Fallon lost its status as a major center for commerce and industry.
