In 1857, O'Fallon, Missouri was the first town in the United States to adopt a municipal gun law. The ordinance required all citizens to possess a handgun with at least one shot fired through it in order to keep it safe and secure. A few years later, on July 17th, 1860, gun sights were Added to the Municipal Ordinance as an official part of the city ordinances. The first known use of gun sights in O'Fallon was when Captain John L. Hindman used them on his rifle during practice at home on July 8th, 1860. O'Fallon, Missouri is a small town in Jackson County, Missouri. The population was 1,681 at the 2010 census. It is part of the St. Louis metropolitan area. The name "O'Fallon" comes from a Shawnee word meaning "the meeting place." The first settler in O'Fallon was James Hinton and his family in 1837. They were followed by John Brisbin and his family in 1840. Mr. Brisbin donated land to form the community that still exists today as O'Fallon Township. In 1847, two brothers named Father Flanagan purchased 640 acres of land east of town for $10 per acre. This parcel became known as Flanagan's Farmstead because it was used as farmland until 1920 when it was given to the township for development into residential areas on one side and a small shopping center on the other side which now remains as O'Fallon Square Shopping Center (formerly called 'Flanagan & Fitzpatrick'). O'Fallon has been located within Jackson County since its founding date of November 3, 1836 which means that most of its history can be traced back to this spot about 20 miles southwest of St Joseph, Missouri on Route 66 where some early pioneers settled during what is now known as the Great Migration period from eastern Kentucky and Virginia seeking opportunity and new life in what would become America's West Coast cities like San Francisco, Sacramento and Los Angeles during the 1860s-1870s boomtown era following Reconstruction following American Civil War victory over Confederate States of America (CSA). Today much of that history can be found buried beneath modern day buildings such as Flanagan & Fitzpatrick's former grocery store building which still stands vacant but restored to its original condition after years upon years of neglect; Captain Cook Coffee Company active coffee roasting factory built 1954 remaining unchanged ever since next door brickyard closed down due to lack of customers circa 1990; old post office building destroyed by fire 1935 which also remains standing untouched; O’ Fallon Cemetery with more than 4500 graves dating back to pioneer days including many unmarked headstones typical features associated with frontier pioneer cemeteries such as deep well-made trenches for water drainage system - evidence indicative early settlers had an understanding not onlyof death but also burial rites necessary for proper resting place for departed ones long before any formal mortuary services were available locally or even remotely throughout much later periods in similar western US communities etc., etc., etc.. It should also be noted that there have been many changes over time modest or large impact all having sprung out directly or indirectly from one dominant feature: namely industry – starting with farming then expanding into manufacturing through various typesetting/printing operations until finally residents started living outside their homes increasingly working downtown businesses such as banks, hotels or other assorted industrial enterprises – until finally today we find ourselves again gripped byuderstandably those cultural patterns leading inevitably towards social unrest often culminating tragically in violent crime rates………. herein lies our challenge: What do we do about it?

A few weeks later, on July 20th, they had their first meeting as a group and decided to name their new settlement after Michael Collins (the lead singer of the Irish rock band U2). From this point on, O'Fallon would be known as "Collinsville." In 1840, Collinsville hosted its first public meeting which focused on establishing government guidelines for Native Americans living within its boundaries. This event marked an important beginning for O'Fallon's democracy movement which would later play out into broader issues such as voting rights and land reform throughout America. Several years later, in 1846-47 Collinsville experienced another significant event when it hosted a conference of representatives from all over Missouri to discuss issues surrounding slavery and emancipation (the Thirteenth Amendment). At this conference many Kansas Plantation owners met together with representatives from mostly northern states to negotiate freed slaves into working conditions on their plantations - setting an important precedent for civil rights movements throughout America following Reconstruction era%. On November 1st 1851 local resident James Kline donated land at what is now Blue Springs Park in order to establish Springfield Township adjacent to Collinsville; this donation forms one of the earliest township boundaries in America.). In 1870 Springfield Township was removed from Collinsville proper and merged into Quincy County; however some remains of old structures can still be seen today within Green Lawn Cemetery located just north of main street
O'Fallon, Missouri was founded on February 14, 1836 by James K. Polk and his wife Julia P. Grant. It is the county seat of O'Fallon County. The town was named after General James K. Polk, who served as President of the United States from1901 to 1909.
