Lee's Summit is a town in Buchanan County, Missouri, United States. The population was 4,752 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield, MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name "Lee" comes from a Shawnee word meaning "broad meadow." The first gun lock was made by Elijah McMahon in 1836. It had to be locked up at night because it was used for hunting game and not for protection against burglars or other robbers. In 1868, Charles Goodnight patented the first self-locking gun key. He made it out of brass and iron and used it to secure guns in barns and churches during worship services. The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution protects citizens' right to bear arms without government infringement. Lee's Summit is located on the southern edge of the historic Slave Belt area and contains some of the most significant slave plantations in Missouri. The first white settler in Lee's Summit was George Witherspoon, who arrived there in 1829. He and his family were among the earliest to inhabit what would become Lee's Summit Township. Over time, other early settlers included John Fenton (1833-1900), James Hickey (1835-1910), Samuel Boomer (1838-1920), Amos Kline (1840-1925), and others. The township was organized on November 4, 1872 from parts of Knox County and Platte County. At that time it consisted of only a single block of land north of US Highway 24 between State Line Road and Union Pacific Railroad tracks – now much larger blocks have been developed since then as part of Springfield Township’s growth into an all-county municipality. In 1902, local physician Dr J P Fenton founded a hospital here which became one of Springfield’s most renowned institutions: The Fenton Hospital has been providing excellent medical care to patients since its opening in 1902. Today it remains one of America’s leading healthcare providers with more than 10,000 fulltime employees across four campuses throughout Greater Springfield! In addition to its important medical role, The Fenton Hospital has also played an instrumental role in developing many aspects both within our community and beyond – such as education opportunities for locals through its spunky girlie club known as “The Gown Girls”; promoting social/economic justice through its fundraising efforts; hosting annual events such as Oktoberfest or St Patrick’s Day; supporting multiple sclerosis research; sponsoring numerous community programs including baseball games against neighboring towns; etc.; just to name a few! The early days of digital security were difficult as there were no standards for how such devices should work and hackers were able to quickly adapt and improve upon older designs. However, over time digital security has become more sophisticated and secure, making gunlocks less common but not impossible to use.

The lock is a simple mechanical device that consists of a keyhole-shaped recess in the front panel of the lock, through which a key must be inserted to open it. Gun locks continued to be developed and patented until around 1860, when they became largely replaced by more sophisticated locking devices such as combination locks and door handles.
