The history of bipods can be traced back to the early days of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. In 1872, a man by the name of Isaac Newton took up land in what is now Lee’s Summit and began construction on what would become the first irrigation system in the area. His project was a great success and helped bring new life to the town. And, as it turned out, that life was not all good. The man who built the irrigation system also founded one of America’s most notorious outlaw gangs, The Outlaws. This group terrorized local farmers for years and caused significant financial losses for their victims. But no matter how bad things got for these criminals, they never forgot their roots in Lee’s Summit – they always retained a strong affection for their home town and its people. And so it was that when Isaac Newton passed away in 1902, his legacy lived on through his young son-in-law Irving Newton who continued to help run the engineering company that father had started decades earlier. Finally, in 1969, after several failed attempts at starting a business outside of Lee's Summit proper (the original plan), Irving Newton succeeded and opened an educational center called The Park School within the limits of what is now known as Independence Mall. Today this institution continues to play an important role in education within Lee's Summit - both educating students from throughout Missouri Valley University (MVU) as well as providing opportunities for community service projects around town (e.g., building playgrounds or improving public transportation). It is interesting to note that much like father did before him – Irving Newton remains passionate aboutLee's Summit and its people even after many years having spent considerable time hereabouts!

Lee's Summit is a small town in central Missouri, located about 20 miles south of Springfield. The population was 7,814 at the 2010 census. Railroads arrived in this area during the early 20th century; one such railroad company, US National Railway Company (USN), built a line from Springfield to Lee's Summit via Decatur in 1903 which accelerated development of this area into what is now known as rural Greene County. During World War II, many businesses were situated within or around Fuller-Hancock Business Park which grew out of an effort by local business owners to attract industry to their townships during wartime shortages elsewhere in Missouri Valley region; these businesses included Alcoa (later Alcoa Energy), Armour Industrial Properties, General Electric Company (GEICO), Monsanto Chemical Corporation (MONSANO), PepsiCo Inc., Sears Roebuck & Co., United States Rubber Company (USTR) and numerous others also located within or nearby Fuller-Hancock Business Park during World War II. After 1945 most manufacturing relocated away from rural Missouri Valley region as economic conditions improved elsewhere in America; however some jobs did stay here including those associated with aluminum smelting operations operated by Alcoa since 1975 inside Fuller-Hancock Business Park itself despite being outside any regular school district boundaries until that point

The town was named for General James H. Lee, who helped lead Union forces during the American Civil War and later became an important general in the Reconstruction period in America. Lee's Summit was founded about 1857 as a small community of around 100 people near the site of present-day Olathe, Kansas. The first store in Lee's Summit opened in 1858. By 1860, there were five stores and 14 residents in Lee's Summit. In 1861, Confederate General Albert Sidney Johnston invaded Missouri and attacked Independence (Jackson County), burning all of its homes and businesses before withdrawing to Arkansas. A few months later, on October 15th 1861, Union troops under Major General Ulysses S. Grant marched through nearby Perryville to drive Confederate forces from Missouritown Heights north intoKansas City proper where they surrendered on October 24th 1861 after a three-day siege by Union troops under Grant and Joseph Easley with support from local militia units led by Colonel John Pemberton. Lee's Summit remained largely rural until after World War II when some development took place along State Highway 6 which runs through the town center between Parkwood Drive south and Hickory Hill Road northwest (the old course of US 36). This development included several new homebuilt subdivisions built across many acres since 1961 when SH6 became one of KCMO's major arterials In recent years there has been significant redevelopment including: 1) A large office complex/district park east of Main Street called "The Crossing" that includes several hundred thousand square feet (100 m²) of retail space; 2) A new high school - Lamar High School - built east off I-435 just north of US 60; 3) An addition to Stinson Farms Regional Shopping Center - a large shopping mall containing over 120 stores - consisting primarily of Whirlpool appliances; 4) A library/museum complex consisting principally of historic buildings dating back to 1865 on South Park Avenue just east off I-435; 5) New housing developments located adjacent to Interstate 435 within walking distance both from downtown KCMO and other larger urban areas such as Topeka KS; 6) Several miles (€2 km?) worth of trails connecting various attractions within easy reach including: interstates 435 & 60 near downtown KCMO; Overland Park KS's Jackson Hills amusement park less than an hour away via scenic highway 63A from downtown KCMO on I-635 or by taking exit 66 for HWY 64E which leads directly to Jackson Hills Amusement Park; 7) Restaurants inside or outside city limits catering primarily to tourists such as Zocalo Mexican Buffet restaurant located just west side off I-435 next door to Stinson Farms Regional Shopping Center – open 24 hours365 days year round serving Mexican food items such as tacos al pastor with pineapple salsa $10-$25 plus taxes&drink specials etc.; 8) An outdoor movie theater known locally simply as "The Stadium" that screens mostly independent films outdoors throughout summer evenings although it also offers concessions access indoors for events such as concerts or family reunions during winter months when indoor seating becomes available again
