The communities of Northport and Pleasant Hill are also located within walking distance of Lee's Summit while Valley View is less than a mile away from the center of town on I-435 highway. A local golf course with 9 holes is also located within walking distance as well as an amusement park which opened in 2003 called Cedar Point Park/.
