In 1862, Mill Creek was a small creek located in what is now the city of Yakima. The mill owned by John Wafer and his son Moses were located on the banks of the creek. In 1868, mill owner James Cook decided to build a new mill on the same site using steel drums as well as a waterwheel to power the machinery. This new mill became one of the most successful in Washington and exported products from Mill Creek for many years. Unfortunately, due to oil exploration in Alaska and competition from other mills, James Cook's mill closed in 1922. Until about 1925, optical equipment used mercury lamps with focal points set at various points around an image or object to create an image on a screen or projector. These devices were usually attached directly to large frames that could be rotated so that different parts of the image appeared at different times on different sides of the screen or projector. By 1925, however, electronic amplification had made it possible for images to be displayed simultaneously on several screens or projectors with minimal frame rotation required- this led to increased demand for optical accessories such as lens cleaners and focusers (see below). In 1932, Jens Gaunch started producing high resolution photographic film using development slides rather than Photography Cards like those used today which gave photographers more control over their prints while still allowing them to produce beautiful finished products without having to wait months for prints ready for framing! Although Vitaphones were initially used purely as audio vehicles they soon found their way into movies too where they played an important role in providing atmosphere and excitement during movie screenings !
