At that time it was one of the most valuable pieces of real estate in Akron because it included four railroad yards and an urban water supply system which made it possible to develop this area into one of northeastern Ohio's largest cities. The city built many large homes including Fairview Manor which still stands today as one of Easton's most successful small businesses ever created."
