Gun triggers have been a part of the American society since at least 1835. When firearms were first introduced to the United States, they were typically pistols. However, starting in the 1840s, rifle triggers began to be developed as well. Rifle triggers are different from pistol triggers in that they rely on a thumbwheel-like device to cock the gun. A trigger pull is measured in pounds or ounces and it is usually measured along a line from the back of the gun to where the trigger finger sits. When handguns became popular in America, firearm manufacturers started including Trigger locks on their pistols so that customers could “lock” or freeze off the firing pin if they desired. This was an important safety feature as someone with malicious intent could easily reduce or disable a pistol by disabling either of its two firing pins. In 1868, Colt Firearms Company produced what would eventually become known as an action revolver called The Model 20B which featured a hammer block that allowed for one-handed operation with gloves on. This innovation helped change how people accessed firearms and made them more accessible for those with less dexterity than before. Starting around 1895, Samson Arms Corporation produced rifles featuring trigger mechanisms that would later be adapted for handgun use such as their Model 1912 Springfield Armory rifle which featured an extra big thumbwheel found on some other types of guns but not handguns (it was only used on shotguns). Pistol shooters who desired to shoot rifles also began using Trigger mechanisms when they switched to using these weapons instead of handguns because these devices allowed them to fire rounds independently from each other rather than relying upon a single handshake/thumbwheel operation like with pistols

Floral Park is a small city in western New York state. It is located on the banks of the Hudson River, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) north of Albany. The population was 11,751 at the 2010 census. The name "Floral Park" comes from two early Dutch settlements: Floris Terrein and Houten Terrein. The first Europeans to visit Floral Park were Adam and Eve, who may have walked over the original Indian Reserve that still exists today. In 1624, Colonel Christopher Wiltse founded what is now called Fort Nassau on land near present-day Floral Park's southern border. On July 10, 1627, Sir George Carteret leased 2 million acres (8 km2) of this area to Nicholas deeded by his father for £25 per year payable over 25 years with interest to be paid annually. In 1784–85, Major James Ketchum built a toll road through Floral Park connecting it with Rye and Yonkers on Long Island Sound. This road became known as the Ketchum Toll Road or simply as the KETCHUM ROAD. Today you can still see some evidence of this road including an old toll booth on Elm Street in central Floral Park which has been preserved and used as part of the town's history museum since 1966. In 1846, Reverend John Woolridge started baptizing immigrants coming into New York City at what is now Battery Park City—a process that continued until 1865 when all religious services were moved to Trinity Church on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan due to zoning restrictions put in place by Gov. Andrew Johnson). In 1867, he donated 5 acres (20 hectares) east of wherepresent-day Central Avenue meets Third Avenue south of Willowbrook Cemetery for a park named after him - "Woolridge Place". Theodore Roosevelt visited Floral Park during his 1898 campaign for president; he remarked that it looked like "an English garden." Roosevelt also dedicated a concrete footbridge over Bushwick Creek connecting Queens Boulevard (now Broadway) in Brooklyn with Willowbrook Cemetery before leaving town for New York City again just days later! In 1912–13 Adeline Lilly founded ranches called "Lilly Farms" along Bushwick Creek east of Central Avenue in FloralPark; these properties are still producing fresh vegetables today! When relations between America and Great Britain deteriorated during World War I boundary changes occurred within New York State resulting in acreage being given to Albany making Garden –FloralPark its isolated enclave surrounded only by trees & water not accessible by cars or people –the last remaining remnant from pre-war days! . . . After WWI ended there was increased demand for parks so developers began building anew throughout most if not all large American cities but few if any developed into international landmarks such as Flowery Field etc.– often becoming zoned residential areas rather than tourist destinations serving primarily locals although Botanical Gardens remain open year round & well worth exploring

Floral Park was founded in 1868 by Colonel Augustus St. John Floridant, who donated land to the city for the park. The first garden was created on a tract of land that later became Arthur Ashe Boulevard. The original flowers were jonquils and pansies, but over time more flower varieties were added such as ferns, roses, and lilies. In 1898, a children's playground named Strawberry Fields was opened in Floral Park. In 1954, a new swimming pool was built in Floral Park and is still used today. In 1961, Floridant Stadium was built on the site of present-day Yankee Stadium which served as home to New York City Fairs until 1974 when it became Yankee Stadium again. In 1973, Floridant Parkway (now called Archer Road) was completed connecting Floral Park with other neighborhoods in the Bronx including Morrisania and Morningside Heights. In 1984, two new tennis courts were added to the park: one near Apple Tree Drive and one near Trumpeter Dr., both located just east of Archer Road. In 1998, four additional acres were annexed into Floridant Park from Morrisania after voters approved an referendum authorizing annexation without compensation from those residents who opposed it at a previous election campaign issue ballot measure known as "The Parks Amendment." These acres include much of what is now Stonegate Cemetery and are currently being developed into a large mixed-use project known as Meadowlands Estates which will include housing developments (including high-end condos), retail stores/, restaurants/, movie theaters/, etc., making it one of New York City's most comprehensive urban redevelopment projects ever undertaken
