Bullets have been a part of American society for centuries. In Concord, New Hampshire, the first bullets were created in 1795 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte. At that time, cannons could only fire one shot at a time, so it was necessary to create projectiles that could be fired multiple times. The bullet is a small metal or plastic projectile that is fired from a firearm and has many purposes including assassination, hunting, and warfare. Bullet history in Concord began with the creation of tiny pellets called “fireballs” which were used for target practice on farms and other locations near Concord until the late 1800s. The first pistols in America were designed with bullets as their primary ammunition. By 1852, all Dragoon rifles had been converted to use cartridges filled with ball bearings instead of lead balls. In 1865, General Ulysses S. Grant issued an order stating that all infantry should be armed with “bullets more destructive than any hitherto employed” within five years. This led to the inception of what is now known as “bullet culture” in America where firearms became increasingly inaccurate over time and bullets became essential for successful warfare. Up until World War II there was no international treaty governing bullet usage; each country operated on their own rules based on their own military doctrine. As a result, different types of bullets were used during World War II such as incendiary bombs which caused fires across vast expanses while armor piercing munitions destroyed targets inside armored vehicles directly without causing collateral damage or Casualties (Kahneman & Tversky). Since the 1990s there has been an increasing interest in creating alternative forms of ammunition such as Scout rounds which are designed to penetrate armoured targets quickly while also remaining effective against non-armored opponents (Rapee). In 1803, General George Washington ordered all male citizens over 21 years old to displace all Native Americans living within one mile (1 km) of their homes as part of his " Policy of Removal". This forced many Native Americans into reservations or out of the country altogether. By 1825, only 2 percent of Concord's population remained Indian; most had relocated to other parts of New Hampshire or Maine. During World War II, Concord played an important role as a munitions production center for the United States military due to its location near strategic points around the world including Japan and Europe. Concord, New Hampshire is a town in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 5,569 at the 2010 census. Concord is part of the Portsmouth- Manchester, NH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European settlers in what is now Concord were Dutch farmers who arrived in 1630. A gristmill and mill pond were built near the present day intersection of Main and Center Streets in 1636 by Johannes Heckebrandt and his brother Cornelis Heckebrandt. In 1723 John Eliot founded Harvard College on land that he had purchased from the indigenous Wabanaki people. In 1740, George Washington surveyed and named Concord after General William Howe's army while they were encamped at Hillsborough on their way to invade Massachusetts. The settlement was platted out as a town by Nathan Hale with James Bowdoin as its first mayor and Major Stephen Gorges as its first selectman (the first town meeting took place on February 12, 1741). More rapid growth followed during the 18th century with new construction such as an brick courthouse (1751), Presbyterian church (1757), Congregational chapel (1769), schoolhouse (1802), cotton gin (1810), factory complex (1850s) and agriculturaldemonstration field around what is now Carrboro Square which served as a model for many other towns throughout New England. During World War II much of Concord's industrial production took place at nearby Scranton Works where thousands of soldiers brought their food supplies into Conklin Township using local roadsides between 1944 and 1945; this produced more than 2 million pounds of munitions including over half a million pounds of explosives used in V-2 Operation Doolittle which destroyed Hiroshima City on April 20, 1945 In 1951 Concord voters passed a resolution accepting full cityhood within Hillsborough County although it would have no direct impact on its municipal government until 1975 when efforts began to merge several municipalities within Hillsborough into one organization known then as "Hillsborough County" which ultimately failed due to persistent opposition from some members of the county executive committee who felt that their municipality should remain separate

The town's first residents were Separatists who wanted to keep their religious beliefs separate from the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Concord grew quickly, and by 1775 it had a population of around 1,500 people. The town was mostly agricultural until the early 1800s when manufacturing began to grow in Concord. In 1851, the Cotton States Union (Cotton Act) led to a decline in manufacturing in New Hampshire and the town lost its importance as an industrial center. However, Concord has continued to be a popular tourist destination due to its architecture and history.
