The first holsters manufactured by this company were designed for use with pistols only. In 1876, Folsom & Biddle began producing holsters for revolvers as well. From this point on, the company became known as "FolsomHolster." In 1912, Wesson Firearms Company Ltd., a subsidiary of Smith & Wesson Corporation (later Lockheed Martin), started manufacturing holsters under the name "Wesson Holster Company." At this time, Wesson Firearms was one of the leading holster manufacturers in the United States. The HOLO-SWORD® pistol holster is one of their most famous products. Other famous HOLO-SWORD products include the MARLIN PISTOL HOLSTER and THE ROLLING STONE™ Pistol Holster. In 1978, Abilene Tactical Armory Corporation became involved in the manufacture of handguns and ammunition using high-quality full-grain horsehide stockings instead of lycra or otherylon materials used at that time in other industries. This decision changed the character of American handgun production forever; henceforth handguns would be made primarily out of full-grain military grade materials such as stainless steel or aluminum alloy instead of cheap Lycra/otherylon crapola material found commonly on civilian firearms at that time! Today, Abilene Tactical Armory corporation produces many different types of handguns including 1911s and XD's as well as Ammunition!

While this invention was very significant, it did not catch on like some of Browning's later inventions such as the Ranch Rifle or Gamecock Pistol Holster. This reason may be due to several factors such as competition from more established companies who had already producedholsters based on similar design principles. Additionally,Holster Adapters were only available through authorized dealers which limited their distribution and popularity among average consumers.

Vallejo was founded on August 9, 1846 by Captain George Vallejo and his brother, Antonio Vallejo. The first post office was established in the town on January 1, 1847. The City of Vallejo was incorporated on February 3, 1851. Today, the city has a population of over 210,000 people and is the county seat for Solano County. The Mission San Francisco de Asís (Mission Dolores) is located in the city. The history of Vallejo goes back to before California became a state. In 1831 Lieutenant Colonel James Riley discovered gold near what is now Vallejo. He named the area after General José Joaquin Cámpora y Costilla who had fought against Spanish forces in North America during the Mexican-American War. General Cámpora later donated land to start a mission school at present-day Mission Dolores which served as an important center for education in this part of California. On September 7, 1846 Captain George Vallejos showed up with seven hundred men to begin building a new town site about one mile east of present-day downtown Vallejon on Rancho Rinconada property that he purchased from Don Miguel Sanchez de la Peña y Pacheco. This began what would be called the Gold Rush era in Northern California and led to dramatic changes in local demographics and economic development throughout much of northern California’s Central Valley region including parts of Martinez and Contra Costa counties today
The Vallejo area was first settled by the Ohlone people in the early 1800s. The first permanent English settlement in California was at San Francisco Bay, founded by Captain John pilots in 1776. The Mission Dolores, established in 1829 and completed two years later, became one of the most influential missions in California. In 1846, California became part of the United States of America after Mexico lost its independence from Spain. The population of Vallejo increased rapidly due to waves of immigration during this time. A cotton gin was built on the banks of the riverbank in 1851 and gradually replaced traditional methods of producing cotton until it became one of the largest employers in town. Railroads arrived in Vallejo during this time and led to an increase in trade and commerce throughout the town. By 1900, Vallejos importance had diminished somewhat as a manufacturing center due to technological advances but its historical significance makes it a popular tourist destination today.
